Steve reviews and comments that orientation of tunnel is needed in order to lead the way to the Money Pit, Doug shares the lore was handed down saying 14 ft away was Money Pit, but at 12 ft, flooding took place, never reached the Money Pit, treasure could have been forced out of the Money Pit and into the tunnel that shaft #2 was digging, Dave has great comment here that treasure came at the tunnel crew in shaft #2

  • • • • Gary and Peter and Billy, looking for artifacts in Smith's Cove near this new wooden structure recently unearthed that Laird shut down while Doug Crowell literally in the hole, would have cut off access to rest of new bump out site

          • First signal: Gold Coins to go please from Gary…but turns out to be a What the Heck is That? Glob of metal, iron? A goody hidden inside? Not known yet

          • Billy G (with a fresh haircut) calls Peter over: notice the flat rocks? Could be a French Drain? but also churns up wood which gets Rick and Terry down there quickly, there are rocks everywhere! Not a natural conglomeration of boulders says Terry, and wood could tell them another orientation for the slipway..or a wharf / pier, older structure?

          • LAIRD!! On scene…says it could be a big wharf due to big cribbing logs?

          • Rick notes and comments this could be searcher or depositor? Wants a sample for review

• • Looking at structure in Cove again with Billy digging away and Gary stops him, and finds one heck of a bloody massive log, and a wooden peg (only other wooden peg was located in U shaped structure last year and predated discovery of money pit by 2 decades says Mr. Clotworthy) and then another wooden peg

  • Terry notes extensive crib work, Rick notes how strange the massive log is, then another carry log, on and on, log after log, an Oak beam? Packed with clay? much bigger than U shaped structure log?

    • Steve noted 7 ft below sea level, and this big log another 3 ft below that, visual inspection is saddle notched and as big as U shaped logs comment by Rick

    • Is this connected to similar construction to Money Pit?

    • Needs Laird to come in and assist with identification, Rick notes this concern

  • The self-portrait in 1650 is shown, on left there is a “lady with a hat” and if you look at her hat…there is another eye on this hat..a 3^rd eye and a place of importance is noted?..is this woman in the self-portrait the same woman shown in The Shepherds of Arcadia 2^nd Version?…5 points of pentagram meet at the Eye where if you superimpose the painting, it lines up with this eye on the 2^nd Shepherds painting and… Nolan’s Cross

  • The All Seeing Eye aka Eye of Providence ..the Eye of the Swamp

    • Wants to be able to hold something in his hand

  • Corjan adds comment: there is a fixed cross on the Island that you can use to project a pentagram and then you just find the center

    • You can do it with 11-12^th Century technology? He also adds?

    • Rick wants to dig the Eye area

    • Marty comment: (he is a wise man) “skeptic by nature” digging will be proof in the pudding

  • Later in episode in War Room with Tom Nolan for a “Data Day” which Marty likes, to hear Dr. Spooner core samples info, Spooner was surprised that data did not meet his expectations, and “welcome to Oak Island Dr. Spooner” is next Marty comment

    • Spooner calls it Site “A”- The Eye we call it, says Marty

    • Dr Spooner says Gravel in it, glacial till, organic matter, but disturbed in middle..how does he know? inter-layered organic matter and till, there is no soil, something was disturbed by something..what is it that disturbed it? that's the question 1600 something..someone dug something

      • 2^nd sample from area reviewed and Dr, Spooner confidently states 1680 to 1700 that the disturbance took place & significant human activity in the Eye of the Swamp, something complex taking place here

      • Rick asks Tom what Fred Nolan learned in this area, and Tom notes the area would never dry out, always wet, spring fed? How do you explain it?

      • Spooner samples the twig he found in one of the samples, swamp aged to 1220 (OLD STUFF!!)

      • Marty: It all fits into the lore, make a swamp in 1200s, digging later

      • A month ago Marty said hard to believe human manipulation, but data may show otherwise..and Rick talks about Zena’s map, landing in 1347

        • 3 years ago Zena presented docs and maps created by Knights Templar on a voyage to the New World, 1178-1180 map Zena had (they played her old phone call)

        • She also said a 1347 Map shows Oak Island with French words identifying places, according to Zena

        • Marty excited for swamp discovery???? Hmmmm???

• SWAMP:

  • It’s SWAMP TIME: Guptill and Ian Spooner and team of students to look at Eye of Swamp area, back to the pond, and try to locate the stones, the ring of stones, more accurately for data mapping

  • Wants to extract cores for review of sediment, put this is human power, not on a sonic drilling rig, got his sample to review cm x cm reads like a book
