Recap
Season 7, Episode 13
BROMANCING THE STONES
SWAMP
Noticing the paved stone walkway with Rick and Tom Nolan, stones all over the place
Manmade swamp, clearly looking at these stones, what was the purpose Tom is talking about? Why are these here?
More and more stones exposed, keep asking what is the purpose of this? All of the same type of rock used on this walkway
Dr. Spooner reviews with Billy Gearhart and Rick Lagina in the area for a sample to date again.. Needs woods around rocks and that a stick can’t naturally fall in a glacier deposit, so this was a manmade thing with a stick that can be used for dating, Dr. Spooner guesses the age is waaaay old when asked by Rick, prior to Money Pit? Could the date sample be The Smoking Gun, Rick notes?
Jack and Gary with Billy are digging near the mysterious structure, Billy setting up spoils for Gary to check out,
Steve Guptill has the Probe and takes an elevation measurement of the rocks they uncover!
Yellow Brick Road Gary notes he is hoping for, hoping to find gold, does conduct a search with Jack and finds an awesome old pick, a chunky old pick, and an old round point spade, another tool
The War Room
Reviewing Fort Louisbourg info that Rick and Doug brought back from their recent trip
Wanted resemblance of that fortress compared to Oak Island construction, the 1741 structure in Smiths Cove, the drain system pictures are shared with the group
Original part of fortress inner court yard there is a clear drain system in place, tunneled into the rock wall, really looks like the system found in Smiths Cove?
They also jump in and review the wood sample from the test drilling in FG12, near the end of the shaft #2 tunnel at 103 ft and this wood reviewed was deeper, not a part Heddon shaft, got it dated…1621 to 1680! Old wood from Money Pit area? 1680 possibly also supports Dr Spooner’s data and something happening near the Eye of the Swamp
Money Pit/Shaft #2 area
Continuing to review core samples for wood, identification of previous digs, Money Pit wood? 110ft down from images shown on the episode, gotta be close to the Money Pit
109 to 119 feet down, the drill has possibly run into a void, a cavern underground, good things, Terry Matheson really impressive on instant identification of sample material, limestone infused dirt, sand, etc, he knows it well
Dartmouth Heritage Museum
Rick, Doug, Friend of the Podcast Mr. Laird Nivin and FRIEND OF THE PODCAST Billy looking for the 90 foot stone based on the tip from Mr. Rideout from a story of seeing it 40 years ago We discussed this on previous episodes
Billy in a smaller digger, uncovers a big old stone among many, but they didn’t end up locating THE 90 ft stone
NEXT EPISODE Season 7 Episode 14: Burnt Offering…lots of hollering on the preview!
The 90 ft. Stone
The original interpretation = FORTY FEET BELOW TWO MILLION POUNDS ARE BURIED
Then, in 1971, Dr. Wilhelm uses the Kempton cypher and pulls out a supposed hidden message: ""At eighty (you) guide maize or millet (into the) estuary or firth drain F".
Some interesting interpretations of the 90 foot stone cipher:
